You probably didn’t need any additional reasons to dislike David Hasselhoff, but ‘The Real American Hero’ tried to do the most anti-American thing ever – stop Pamela Anderson and her huge boobs from appearing on ‘Baywatch’.
Silly as it sounds, Hasselhoff was asked about the Canadian beauty potentially having a role on the beach-inspired sitcom, to which he scoffed.
It wasn’t for the reasons you would have thought, though, as noted by The Hollywood Reporter:
“David said, ‘I don’t want a girl that’s been in Playboy,’” Berk recalls. “He said, ‘Children watch this show.’” Schwartz thinks Hasselhoff had slightly different concerns. “She had these enormous breasts,” he says, “and David thought he would be upstaged by everyone looking at her breasts. Which is what happened.”
In fairness to Pamela, who celebrated her birthday yesterday, if it wasn’t for her ‘enormous breasts’, ‘Baywatch’ probably wouldn’t have lasted more than six shows.
