Let’s get to know social media influencer, model and columnist Imani ‘Ginny’ Evans in her Guy Hut interview:
Tell us some of your current guilty pleasures in music, TV, movies, video games and/or books. What are you watching/reading/playing/listening to at the moment?
I’m a huge little mix fan and literally know the lyrics to every single little mix song. When ‘Touch’ came out I played it 12 times in a row so I could learn all the words. I love GIRL POWER and they are the definition of that. I’m also guilty of watching reality TV. I’m a sucker for the dramatic story lines and even though I know it’s fake I still love the entertainment!
What song in your playlist is the most embarrassing to admit?
Britney spears ‘Oops I did it again!’ I can relate to this song because I’m always getting myself into mischief and I never learn the first time! I love Britney’s old music because it reminds me of my childhood and she’s the only person in the entire world can pull off a red PVC catsuit.
Do you have any favorite sports teams and/or players?
Arsenal because my older brother bullied me into it when I was 8. I don’t understand sports and the only time I get sweaty is when I’m carrying too many shopping bags! I can watch about 10 minutes of a football game to look at the hot guys but after a while even the eye candy can get boring!
If you were a cartoon character, who would you be and why?
I would be Wonder Woman because she has no weaknesses. I believe we all have an element of Wonder Woman inside of us. Women are definitely the strongest sex and we prove that throughout our lives by overcoming the daily obstacles that are thrown at us. We survive heartbreak, menstrual cycles and pregnancy. What is more wonderful than that?
If you could invite any three people, dead or alive, to dinner, who would they be?
Princess Diana, Micheal Jackson and Amber Rose. Can you imagine what a great dinner party that would be? An iconic Royal, a pop Prince & a fearless tralblazer! I reckon we would be chatting so much the food would be cold! I treat my guests well so I would definitely pack them a goodie bag each to take home!
Name one place on your travel bucket list? Where do you want to go that you’ve yet to visit?
I really want to go to Bora Bora because everyone rants and raves about it! I’m also super keen to visit Hawaii because I’ve heard the beaches are pink. I would love to see that!
Any special hidden talents?
I can eat any man under the table. I love food and I can eat huge amounts of it at any one time. My favorites things to eat are cheese and carbs! I don’t count calories because I’d prefer to enjoy every last bite!
A genie grants you three wishes – what are you asking for?
Everything! World peace, intense happiness, hair like Rapunzel, an endless supply of food, a private jet, an exclusive island and to be able to read people’s minds! I know you said only choose 3 things but I’m greedy and I don’t like to follow rules.
What is the best and worst thing about modelling?
The best thing about modelling is the end product. You can create such beautiful and striking images with the right photographer and styling. The possibilities are endless and you can always have fun with different ideas. The worst thing about modelling is definitely the pressure to look perfect in order to be a model. It can be a cruel world but you have to stay strong and not let your insecurities eat away at you.
What is your proudest accomplishment thus far in your career?
My Mum and I have written an amazing lifestyle book for women. It’s a woman’s guide to everything and it covers topics from love to heartbreak, money to kids and fitness to fashion. It’s light hearted, its fun and every woman will need this once it’s on the shelves! We share our knowledge on life and give advice on things women often need help with. It’s interesting because there are two perspectives, I’m a 25 year old girl that lives a very modern and hectic lifestyle. Mum is a 49 year old woman who may see things a little differently and it’s good to have both sides, it’s all about balance.
What is your best physical attribute and what is your best personality attribute?
My best physical attribute’s are definitely my big hair and big smile. I’ve always embraced my natural afro and I love to smile and be happy! My best personality trait is that I’m a very positive person. I don’t let anything get me down for too long and I encourage everyone to work on their inner peace as when you nail that, it’s a total game changer!
Who are your celebrity crushes, male or female?
Solange and Amber Rose are my girl crushes. Solange is beautiful in a really pure way and Amber is just the fiercest of them all! She’s been wearing long wigs a lot recently but I prefer her bald because she’s one of the very few women to totally own that look! I wish I had the guts but that fact is, even if somebody paid me a million ponds I still wouldn’t cut my hair! Actually… give me some time to think about that!
