Indians’ Danny Salazar Investigated For Sexual Assault

Danny Salazar

It’s been a relatively quiet offseason for the Cleveland Indians and their fans and franchise are probably wishing it would have stayed that way, after recent news broke suggesting pitcher Danny Salazar is being investigated for a possible sexual assault.

Along with Salazar, catcher Roberto Perez has also been named in the investigation but no complaint was filed against the backstop, unlike Danny Salazar.

News regarding the possible sexual assault is pretty thin at the current moment and you always have to initially have an open mind regarding such accusations considering we’ve seen on more than one occasion a person fabricating such stories.

Of course we’ve also seen some reports eventually become true, so it’s best to reserve judgement all around until more facts are brought to light.

Either way, it’s certainly not the way Danny Salazar, the Cleveland Indians or Major League Baseball was wanting to open up spring training in the next few weeks.

Salazar started 20 games for the Indians last season and was likely to earn a spot in the starting rotation again.
