Looks like Miley Cyrus might have one less place to visit in the near future. That’s because the singer was recently banned from ever traveling to China again.
According to reports, an old photo of Cyrus (which was taken during her Disney days as ‘Miley Cyrus’) recently made its way into the hands of Chinese officials. The picture in question featured Miley alongside her friends, making slanted eye gestures.
How it got into the hands of Chinese officials, is not known. But they apparently didn’t take to kindly to it, banning Miley Cyrus from ever entering the country.
In a statement, Chinese foreign minister Yang Jiechi said: “Miss Cyrus has made it clear she is no friend of China or anyone of East Asian descent. We have no interest in further polluting our children’s minds with her American ignorance.”
Shockingly, this actually isn’t the first time Miley has been banned by a country. The singer is also not allowed in the Dominican Republic, who says she “undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law”, according to the Associated Press.
