Dwight Howard Stickum: Admits To Cheating For Years

Just when you thought the Dwight Howard Stickum controversy was coming to an end, the Houston Rockets star admits he’s been cheating for years.

Okay, depending on your definition, perhaps it’s not ‘cheating’ considering many athletes have used Stickum (also sometimes referred to as Stickem) before. Though, it’s certainly frowned upon in the leagues where it’s not banned.

As for the Dwight Howard Stickum controversy, it all started on Saturday night when Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap says he felt a foreign substance on the basketball. A few minutes later – after a little investigation – NBA referees were removing a substance on the scorers bench which was eventually found to be Stickum.

Per Millsap:

“I’ve never felt the ball like that ever. It was sticky. It was like super glue or something was on there. I couldn’t get it off my hands. It was the weirdest thing ever.”

Dwight Howard, meanwhile, didn’t understand what the big issue was considering he says he does it every game and has for years:

Guessing you probably should have kept that one to yourself, D-12. The NBA probably isn’t going to care, but it’s not like you needed any extra fuel on the fire of public opinion.
