I remember when Hassan Whiteside was a rookie with the Sacramento Kings and couldn’t sniff the floor, despite the Kings being nothing short of awful.
Part of that was likely due to the fact that Whiteside, injured, decided to tweet about how he was watching episodes of Martin on MTV rather than watching the Kings play an away game.
Alas, Whiteside eventually decided that watching sitcoms probably wasn’t the best way to get NBA playing time and has since emerged as quite the talent with the Miami Heat.
He’s still a little odd at times – he is the same guy who had a Twitter war over his NBA 2K rating. And now he’s decided to troll Kobe Bryant after his retirement announcement.
While most of Bryant’s NBA collegues congratulated Black Mamba on his amazing basketball career, Hassan Whiteside posted a picture of himself dunking as Kobe Bryant watched in the background.
Pretty funny, of course, though you can’t really troll Kobe Bryant, can you?
