Klay Thompson Celebrated Steph Curry Three Pointer Too Early

It’s become somewhat of a weird tradition to celebrate a Steph Curry shot before he even actually releases the ball from his hands. Yet, oddly enough, it works considering Curry is obviously not human and has turned the game of basketball into a game of NERF. Well, other than last night, when Klay Thompson celebrated a Steph Curry three pointer a little too early.

That’s because Stephen Curry passed the ball back to Klay (which was the right basketball play) while Thompson looked away and thew his hands up in celebration for what he believed would be the eventual Curry swish.

Hilariously (for non Warrior fans), it didn’t work out that way and the two were left in disbelief.

Despite the fact that Steph and Klay seemed a bit frustrated with themselves, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr couldn’t help but laugh at the Shaqtin’ A Fool moment as both guys made their way back onto defense.

Pretty sure this isn’t going to stop most of the Dubs players from celebrating Stephen Curry shots way before they actually go through the basket, but they might actually wait until the ball leaves his fingers moving forward.

Or, at least Klay Thompson will.
