Kobe Bryant: Warriors Can Break Lakers Win Streak Record

During the 1971-72 season, the Los Angeles Lakers won 33 consecutive games.

It’s a streak that hasn’t been broken since.

But Kobe Bryant believes Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and the rest of the Golden State Warriors have a chance to do so.

Just minutes after what many suggested to be the worst game of Bryant’s career (at least statistically), the Black Mamba was asked about the impressive Warriors and their current 16-0 start to the season.

That’s when Kobe Bryant suggested the Lakers iconic win streak was in jeopardy.

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who had a night to forget, said the key to the Warriors’ success is having playmakers at every position, and because of that he believes they can surpass the Lakers’ magical mark.

“They could do it because they are good enough,” Bryant said.

Despite the fact the Warriors are nearly halfway to accomplishing such, completing such a feat seems nearly impossible in this day and age of the NBA. Still, we’ve never seen a team do what the Warriors have done thus far to start the season, so you can’t put anything past them – difficult as it might be.
