Was This Kobe Bryant’s Last Dunk As NBA Player?

Kobe Bryant

As we speak, Kobe Bryant still has a few games left as an NBA player – but with retirement looming – our time with the Black Mamba is coming to an end. So it makes you wonder, was this Kobe Bryant’s last dunk as an NBA player?

Kobe’s Los Angeles Lakers took on the Boston Celtics Sunday evening and kept it tight throughout, though, simply couldn’t best Isaiah Thomas and company.

That said, Kobe Bryant gave us a vintage performance as he not only scored nearly 30-points, but gave us what could be one of – if not his final dunk.

It all took place with just a minute left before halftime as Kobe Bryant stole the ball at half court. With most of the Celtics looking the other way, it gave Kobe plenty of time to get out in front of the pack for a wide open slam.

Kobe has stated the pain in his knees makes it difficult for him to elevate, which is why you haven’t seen the Lakers icon get up much this season, rather spending the vast majority of his time on the perimeter.

Perhaps we’ll get another dunk or two before it all ends, but this is certainly going to be one of the last Kobe Bryant dunks you’ll ever see.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
