Despite losing three straight, the New York Knicks are within reach of a potential playoff spot. Given that, the rumor mill is going to be flying, must like the most recent addition which says the Knicks are trying to trade for Jeff Teague of the Atlanta Hawks.
A few days back, multiple NBA sources suggested the Hawks were willing to listen to trade offers, so it’s understandable as to why the Knicks came calling as they could use some help for Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis.
The Knicks are one of several teams who have talked to Atlanta about a trade for point guard Jeff Teague, league sources tell ESPN. (1/2).

Granted, despite the Knicks interest in a Jeff Teague trade, they don’t exactly have a ton of pieces to make a deal. What little they have, Atlanta probably isn’t a huge fan of and Teague is likely to garner interest from a variety of teams with more to offer.
That all said, it seems safe to assume the Knicks are looking to upgrade for a potential playoff run while the Atlanta Hawks are open for business, despite sitting in the Eastern Conference’s third seed.
