What NBA Team Wants To Sign Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant has every intent to retire. Every intent. But what if somebody offers the 37-year-old a contract? Might he pull a Michael Jordan? It seems unlikely, but if he decided he wanted to play basketball again the Washington Wizards might try to put an end to his potential retirement.

Wiz head coach Randy Wittman was asked about the Black Mamba recently and suggested that he’d be open to Kobe Bryant becoming a member of the Washington Wizards, assuming he didn’t retire.

That was likely said with a smirk on his face and of course Wittman doesn’t have a say who plays on the Wiz roster or not. Still, you have to assume the idea of playing alongside John Wall might be intriguing to Kobe Bryant.

That all said, the Los Angeles Lakers great does seem determined to hang up the sneakers and there’s no way you can think of him in another jersey.

He’s always emulated Michael Jordan, but going this far seems to be jumping the shark. Given that, it seems like it’s nothing more than Wittman trying to be nice.

Still, you and I know that once Kobe Bryant feels a little healthier in a year or so after being away from the game, he’s going to think about coming back.
