Notorious BIG ‘Story To Tell’ About Knicks Player Says John Starks

John Starks Notorious BIG

As so many rappers have once uttered, ‘the greatest rapper of all-time died on March 9th’.

Not everybody will agree with such, but there’s no denying the impact Notorious B.I.G. made on the hip-hop community as he undoubtedly is one of the best to ever grace the mic. So as we celebrate his life on the anniversary of his death, here is John Starks, formerly of the New York Knicks commenting on BIG’s iconic ‘I’ve Got A Story To Tell’ during an appearance on ESPN’s Highly Questionable.

In the song, Biggie references that he was sleeping around with one of the girlfriends/wives of a Knicks player, many of whom eventually assumed to be John Starks.

Not the case as Starks said the song wasn’t about him, but it was about one of his New York Knicks teammates. Who exactly? John Starks isn’t saying.

Assuming the facts were legit in the song, there were only a select few players at 6’5 on the New York Knicks roster at that time, even less during a game against the Utah Jazz as muttered by Biggie in the song.

It seems who exactly Big Poppa was boinking will forever remain a mystery, but it apparently wasn’t a lady involved with John Starks.
