The rivalry between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors probably didn’t need any additional gasoline as we approach Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, but Russell Westbrook decided to pour a little on the fire – namely by taking a shot at Steph Curry.
Westbrook, who is likely to guard Curry on the defensive end, was asked about the two-time NBA MVP and decided to give him a bit of a backhanded compliment in the process.
Russell Westbrook: Steph Curry is a tough shotmaker. On scout to guard him "He's a shooter. He's not nothing I haven't seen." Mentions Dame.

While the UCLA product might not have been trying to slight Stephen Curry, he clearly did, especially given the fact he suggested he’s ‘not nothing I haven’t seen’ considering pretty much nobody has ever seen the things Curry is currently doing.
That’s not to say the Golden State Warriors star is on par with guys like Larry Bird, etc, but there’s no denying he’s a highly unique player who is currently owning the NBA in every stretch of capacity.
How healthy Steph will be for the 2016 Western Conference Finals remains to be seen – Curry himself stated he doesn’t feel any better than when he actually injured himself in Round 1. That said, he believes he can play up to his normal standards.
Either way, sounds like we might want to get our popcorn ready.
This was already going to be one heck of a series, but the added fuel to the fire is only going to increase those odds.
