Today is apparently not a good day to be NBA star Steph Curry as the Golden State Warriors guard is facing some pretty serious backlash after he ignored a young kid seeking his autograph after the Dubs victory over the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center.
The kid, dressed in a Steph Curry jersey, can be seen (and heard) yelling for Curry’s autograph while the former MVP stands just a few feet away.
Despite that, Stephen Curry refused to sign the much desired autograph and eventually left the area.
It’s certainly a bit odd considering Stephen Curry is usually among the most fan friendly players in the NBA. And it’s even more odd considering the arena looked pretty empty, so it’s not as if he’d have to sign 500 more autographs if he decided to sign for one person.
On the flip side, we don’t know the whole back story. Maybe Curry signed for the kid previously. Or maybe he just had something going on.
Either way, dude is catching some serious internet heat from it.
