Just when D’Angelo Russell thought his day couldn’t get any worse, it does. That’s because much of the Staples Center was filled with boo’s during the Lakers players introductions when D’Angelo Russell had his name announced.
With just 7 games left in Kobe Bryant‘s illustrious basketball career and even fewer home games remaining, the focus wasn’t on the Black Mamba but on D’Angelo Russell’s secretly recorded video of Nick Young admitting he cheated on girlfriend Iggy Azalea.
Russell and Young did their best to publicly squash the issue with a press conference before they took on the Miami Heat, but Laker fans obviously weren’t having it judging by their reaction during the introduction from the former Ohio State basketball star.

In fairness, there were some cheers from the Lakers fans but there was some obvious disapproval as well.
As for D’Angelo Russell, Kobe Bryant said he channeled his inner-Yoda before the game and talked to the Lakers rookie and told him ‘this shall pass’ – few know that better than Bryant who dealt with his own locker room issue after he put Shaquille O’Neal‘s womanizing ways on blast.
As for Russell, the Lakers season probably can’t come to an end soon enough.
