ESPN Apologizes To Tom Brady For Saying He Stinks

Tom Brady

Remember, around this time last season, when Tom Brady was struggling and many were suggesting the eventual Hall of Fame quarterback needed to hang up his cleats?

Few were louder in this sentiment than ESPN, who ironically decided to apologize to Tom Brady for saying he stinks.

Sure, it’s great clickbait on the part of the Worldwide Leader, but it’s still rather amusing to see a sports network so grand and large saying sorry to a single player.

You may not realize it — and frankly there are plenty of us who would prefer it go unnoticed — but today represents an important moment in the history of modern sports punditry. It’s the one-year anniversary of what is turning out to be the dumbest declaration, and the most inaccurate prediction, most of us have ever made.

And plenty of us made it.

ESPN wasn’t the only major publication to make such a declaration regarding Tom Brady, though, given their influence they were the most popular to do so – which is why I guess they feel an apology is necessary.

Between avoiding a divorce despite letting some hot woman wear your Super Bowl rings on a private jet, avoiding an NFL suspension and now destroying the rest of the NFL – pretty sure Tom Brady is bulletproof.
