Look, I’m not here to tell a dude what he can and can not do. So I certainly wouldn’t begrudge an NFL executive for trying to hit on porn stars via social media.
But I will sit here with my buttery bowl of popcorn and watch it all unfold in real-time.
And that’s exactly what it’s doing, as NFL Media Vice President and Executive Editor David Eaton seemingly got caught with his hands in the cookie jar (or perhaps with his hand down his pants) thanks to some Twitter detectives.
According to Deadspin, Eaton was reportedly not only attempting to flirt with popular porn star’s like Zoey Halloway on Twitter and Instagram but was reportedly trying to ‘hook up’ with them.
According to former NFL Network employees, Eaton’s public Twitter chats had been an ongoing subject of discussion among employees for quite some time; why they vanished yesterday isn’t clear. An NFL Media spokesman declined to comment on the record. Eaton has not yet responded to messages, but we will update if he does.
A series of screenshots were also posted to the Deadspin article, which appear to give the story plenty of legs.
Eaton removed the tweets and eventually his Twitter account in its entirety.
