Packers Fan Calls Cops On Cam Newton After He Stole Flag

Look around any NFL stadium and you’ll see a handful of fans – namely those sitting in the front row of the field section – with their hand crafted signs.

And every so often, a player decides to make the sign their own.

We saw it with LeSean McCoy when he was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles and he commandeered a flag/sign from a Washington Redskins fan.

Now we saw it again, this time during the Carolina Panthers – Green Bay Packers game when Cam Newton decided to steal a flag from a Cheesehead.

Most probably would have found this rather humorous, but not this Green Bay Packers fan who decided to call the cops on Cam Newton.

Per the FayObserver:

The Green Bay Packers banner that Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton snatched down before the Packers-Panthers game in Charlotte on Sunday afternoon belongs Mike Dobs of Fayetteville.

And Dobs wants it back.

“I was just shocked, shocked,” when Newton grabbed the banner out of his and his family’s hands, Dobs said on Sunday evening.

Dobs wants the banner back so badly — he said he paid $500 to have it made last year to hang in his home’s “man room” — that he told the police at the stadium that it was stolen, and he complained to the Panthers’ management.

It’s Dobs’ understanding that the banner was destroyed. A Panthers employee said the organization would make it up to him, he said.

It’s a little weird that Cam Newton didn’t give the banner/flag/sign back after snatching it and given the price we can see why the Packers fan is making a stink of it.

But still….
