Remember, not all that long ago, when you could safely tweet that you would run onto the field of your favorite sporting event if you were to get a certain amount of follows, favorites or re-tweets? Yeah, those days are long gone.
That’s because NFL (and team) security is watching you like the big brother you wish you never had.
Case in point, this New England Patriots fan who suggested he would run on the field during the Pittsburgh Steelers – New England Patriots game if he was to get 10 re-tweets.
Not long after (and no where near his goal), he returned to his social media account explaining that NFL security had kicked him out of the game.
10,000 retweets and I’ll run on the field! #Pats– #Steelers pic.twitter.com/7qlhFpZIZW

Roger Goodell and #NFL security just kicked me out #Gillette for a tweet. Not #Pats security but the #NFL.

Running on the field of any sporting event is pretty dumb considering it not only messes up the flow of the tilt, but also results in the person doing it spending a night in jail and a really large fine. So at the end of the day, he’s probably lucky things didn’t go that route.
Still, that’s some pretty harsh security.
Guess they can’t throw out everybody chanting Roger Goodell’s name, eh?
