While much of Florida is continuing to recover from Hurricane Irma, there are a few heroes out there who decided to brave the weather conditions, all in effort to save stranded manatees and other sea creatures who had been left for dead.
The manatees and other exotic animals had been beached due to the hurricane’s storm surge, which pulls ocean water back out out to deeper waters, thus exposing a dry bed of mud which was previously 8 to 10 feet deep of water.
Needless to say, it left many sea animals beached and near death.
But CNN News captured multiple heroes risking their own lives to either give the animals much needed water or even placed some back in the shallows, far deeper out than normal.
