It’s not a good day for former teacher Taylor Boncal as the 22-year-old high school coach and educator is now facing serious jail time after she was arrested for having sex with an 18-year-old student.
Boncal apparently thought the sexual relationship between the two was acceptable, considering she had the blessing of the 18-year-old’s parents, who approved of the two being together.
But local authorities didn’t feel the same way and arrested Boncal once word leaked of their love affair.
In a letter sent home to parents, school principal Julio Duarte wrote: “As educators, we are entrusted to protect and educate all of our students and know there are certain boundaries that can never be crossed.
“Also, we will not tolerate any behaviour that compromises the safety or well-being of our students.
“I hope you will not let the misconduct of this one individual cast a shadow over all of our staff members who demonstrate their commitment to our students every day.”
Taylor Boncal, who was also accused of sending explicit photos to the student, was fired from Conard High School in Connecticut.
