If it seems like there is a lot of criminal activity in Houston, well, that’s because there is. Perhaps that will change after today though, at least once potential criminals watch this video of a robber getting run over by police. And as if that wasn’t enough, after the dude had been struck by the vehicle, an officer in an awaiting helicopter literally jumped out and beat the snot out of dude.
If you were watching that without sound, you might want to give that a second viewing because you can actually hear the tire run over the robber.
A chase in Houston came to a dramatic end Tuesday afternoon and two burglary suspects were arrested.
According to police, they were called to a home on Melwood Street at about 1 p.m. The caller told officers that the home was being burgled.
Police say when they showed up, the suspects got spooked.
What started as a car chase turned into a foot chase off Hardy Road. Police chased one suspect into a field. When clipping him with a patrol SUV didn’t work, one of the officers in a helicopter hovering nearby jumped out and tackled him.
Not sure I can unhear that ‘thud’.
