While we’ll never truly know why August Ames decided to take her own life, many have assumed a rather volatile Twitter conversation in regards to whom she did and did not want to perform with played a heavy role in her passing.
A report from the IBTimes not only confirmed the 23-year-old’s death, but cited asphyxia as the reason why August Ames died.
The Ventura County, Ca. Health Care Agency confirmed Grabowski’s death Wednesday evening. “Mercedes Grabowski died of asphyxia due to hanging. Manner is suicide,” the agency’s public information officer told International Business Times.
August Ames’ husband, adult film director Kevin Moore, released the following statement on her death:
“She was the kindest person I ever knew and she meant the world to me.”
Many of August Ames’ friends and colleagues took to social media to denounce those who allegedly played a role in her passing due to cyber bullying along with stating changes are needed in the adult industry.
