Gregg Popovich Tried To Block Kobe Bryant’s Shot During All-Star Practice

Greg Popovich Kobe Bryant All Star

Who knew a cranky, crotchety, grump of a man would become one of the most beloved coaches in NBA history? A bit ironic to say the least, but when it comes to the gruff ways of San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, you can’t help but love his sense of humor.

Case in point, here is Pop working with the Western NBA All-Stars during their practice on Saturday.

Popovich decided he’d hit the court with some of his players, including Kobe Bryant. But it wasn’t just Pop trying to ‘D’ up Kobe – no – he even tried to block the Black Mamba’s shot.

Sadly, he wasn’t successful in his attempt, but that doesn’t make it any less awesome.

Just imagine if he’d went full on Tim Duncan and swatted that….
