For months – heck – even years, we’ve heard rumors suggesting that Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder might want to play for the Washington Wizards, considering they’re his ‘hometown’ team.
Of course, that’s all speculation, though Durant hasn’t exactly put out the fire either as he seems open to the idea of free agency. Then again, he’s also suggested he wants to retire with the OKC Thunder, so nobody really knows what the former NBA MVP plans to do.
But when the time comes for Durant to test the open market, assuming that he does, Washington Wizards All-Star John Wall plans to make his recruiting pitch.
Youâll get an opportunity to throw a pitch at him to try and get him to come back home. But I know one thing of just knowing him, heâs really going to be focused on taking care of the Oklahoma City Thunder this season and Iâm going to be focused on taking care of the Washington Wizards.
Wall continued on that he, like many others, will try to bring Kevin Durant to their respective team though seems to understand it’s going to be a rather difficult task.
For now, it remains to be seen what team Kevin Durant will sign with, but you can rest assured you’ll be reminded of the suggestions about five million times before the NBA season concludes.
