No, I’m not going to be the one to say LeBron James started the ‘super team’ trend in the NBA, mostly because there were super teams before him. Granted, the vast majority of those – say like the Lakers of the 1980’s – were built on abusing opposing teams in trades. But there’s no denying that King James has indeed played on super teams and was the driving force behind the Miami Heat’s ‘Big 3’ which included Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade.
Yet, here was LeBron, after suffering yet another NBA Finals loss to the Golden State Warriors, suggesting that he has never played for a ‘super team’..
