While the Minnesota Timberwolves have yet to officially announce they will wear a jersey inspired by Prince, it’s pretty clear from the leaked pictures a “Purple Rain” inspired uniform will be making its way to an NBA court near you.
The Prince inspired T’Wolves jerseys use the exact font from “Purple Rain”, along with the signature purple color so many associated with the Minnesota music icon.
Prince was of course no stranger to basketball, often attending any NBA game he could, most often in Minnesota where he supported his local Timberwolves.

The Prince themed jerseys don’t have an actual release date, so we don’t know when they’ll see the basketball court as of yet. They are part of the NBA’s ‘City Edition’ uniforms, however, so it’s simply a matter of time as every NBA team has their own unique threads paying homage to their hometown that is to be worn during the 2018-19 season.
