I’ve seen a lot of sports injuries take place, many of them happening live. From broken legs to fractured arms to twisted ankles, none look pleasant, though I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a player have a literal dent in their face.
But that’s exactly what happened to Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook who took a knee to his head going for a loose ball against the Portland Trail Blazers.
After the collision, the camera focused on Westbrook who literally had a dent in his face.
For those that missed the crash:
And for those that missed the dent:

Talk about painful.
Russell Westbrook would be forced to leave the game and would be further evaluated. Some believe there was a facial fracture involved in the knee to the head which resulted in a dent looking formation, though the All-Star has yet to be given an official diagnosis.
Either way, I’m guessing Russell Westbrook had a pretty difficult time sleeping last night, assuming he was able to sleep at all.
And they say basketball isn’t a contact sport. Tell that to the dent in Westbrook’s head.
