Steph Curry Says He Will Not Change His Game For Kevin Durant

Sure, Stephen Curry is going to give up some shots to Kevin Durant this season, but that’s all he’s going to do. That’s because Steph Curry says he will not change his game for Kevin Durant.

The Golden State Warriors star was asked about his new teammate and how the two would click on the floor and if the addition would result in Curry changing his game.

That’s when the former Davidson star said he has no intentions of switching things up, simply because there is no need and Durant wouldn’t want him to.

After Durant signed with the Warriors, Thompson insisted that he wasn’t changing his game to accommodate the team’s newest addition. Curry says he won’t either, which won’t be a surprise to Durant. “It won’t change at all,” Curry said. “That’s the reason KD joined — knowing we weren’t going to sacrifice anything, that we all have to be ourselves to make things work. There will be some adjustments when it comes to the in-game flow and how we work together, but for us to be who we’re supposed to be, we all have to kind of elevate ourselves.”

I’m pretty sure even taking less shots is ‘changing your game’ and there is likely more where that came from given there is only one basketball available, but the Warriors shouldn’t have much problem making it work regardless.
