Brandon Marshall To Colin Kaepernick: Jets Don’t Want You

Colin Kaepernick

It’s been a busy few days for New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who earlier in the week made headlines for suggesting his Jets were better than both the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos. Now he’s done it again, this time putting San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick on blast.

As you might recall, Kaepernick reportedly wants out of San Francisco and hopes to join the New York Jets.

But Brandon Marshall isn’t feeling the idea, recently suggesting to ESPN that he doesn’t want the scrambling quarterback near his football team.

“I don’t want Kaepernick,” he said. “I think he’s good. My guy’s Fitz.”

Not that long ago, Colin Kaepernick was thought to be a budding face of the NFL. Now he’s been regulated to backup duties and few know what his role will be within Chip Kelly’s system, assuming he has a role at all.

Ironically, few thought anybody would be happier about the Kelly hiring than Colin Kaepernick, but it seems it was just the opposite.

For what it’s worth, Colin has yet to respond to the rumors about his desire to play with the New York Jets – which allegedly came about due to a his desires to be with a woman in the area. And yes, I’m being serious.
