LaVar Ball Says He Was A Better Tight End Than Rob Gronkowski

Ah yes, more LaVar Ball news. Just what you needed today, right?

Like it or not, LaBar Ball isn’t going anywhere especially when he keeps unleashing hot takes like he did today, suggesting that he was a better college tight end than Rob Gronkowski.

Now, silly as it sounds, this one is a bit more believable than his claim of being able to beat Michael Jordan in a one-on-one game of basketball considering LaVar is built like a polar bear.

It’s doubtful he would have had the speed or athletic ability to be as good of a tight end as Rob Gronkowski, but we certainly don’t have a difficult time picturing Lonzo Ball’s dad as a bruising tight end.

Regardless, the fact that Ball told Rizz and Hammer on ESPN Cleveland that the Patriots tight end “can’t hang with me back in my heyday, too fast, too strong!” appeared to get the internet up in arms yet again.

In Ball’s defense though, he does have a few people in his corner including former college football teammates who eventually made it to the NFL.

“I remember Ball very well,” Marvin Williams of the New York Jets told Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. “He was a very athletic guy and raw. I remember him very well because he played only one year of college football. I remember a very confident guy and, yes, he voiced his opinion and was cocky, but overall seemed like a great guy.”
