Netflix Releases ‘Netflix And Chill’ Button

If you’re the Amazon Prime and commitment type, then this isn’t for you.

But if you’re the Netflix and chill type, then good news – Netflix has released their own ‘Netflix and chill’ button for all your needs. The only thing left for Netflix to do is make your wifi more reliable so that there is no more buffering. In fairness, going to https://www.EATEL.com/ would provide you with an array of options for preventing that.

And yes, I’m being completely serious.

It’s technically not called the ‘Netflix and chill’ button, but rather ‘The Switch’. Still, it’s obvious what Netflix engineers were attempting to do with the creation which dims your house lights, puts your phone into silent mode and starts up Netflix – all with the single push of a button.

Per Engadget:

When they aren’t stress-proofing servers and using playback data to pinpoint which episode made you binge-watch the rest of a show, Netflix engineers also like to build things. At the 2015 World Maker Faire this weekend, the company unveiled its prototype and instructions for a big button that it calls “The Switch.” When you hit it, The Switch dims the lights, activates your phone’s Do Not Disturb feature and gets Netflix ready for the streaming ahead. Think of it as a Netflix and Chill button, but with maybe less Chill.

I’d be more interested if it came with Abi Ratchford in her Netflix and chill mode….much more interested.
