Is there such a thing as too short a dress? Not in my world, but I guess if you’re going to attend a wedding you should probably be more on the conservative side.
Apparently a New Zealand woman didn’t get the memo as she wore what others at the nuptials deemed to be ‘too short of a dress’ which instantly resulted in slut shaming.
Because yeah, that’s exactly what you need to do at somebody’s special day, right?
One wedding guest, however, found this not to be the case – and it’s prompted a huge discussion.
Not just about supposed ‘ wedding etiquette ‘, but about how easy shaming others has become. The guest in question is female – go figure.
A friend of the unnamed guest posted a picture to a New Zealand radio station’s Facebook page on Sunday.
“She says she got treated rudely by other women at the wedding who saw her as a target for wearing this dress.
“A woman came up behind her and slapped her on the bum and said it was on a dare from a group of other women who were watching and snickering.
“Someone else seemingly purposely spilt a beer on her.
“She’s amazed that grown women could be so immature and such bullies.
So how short was the dress, you ask?
We’ve certainly seen shorter. And frankly, I’m not sure I would have said anything because her arms might be bigger than mine.
