Kobe Bryant: I’m Not A Top 5 NBA Player Of All-Time

When you have ever known Kobe Bryant to be humble? Pretty much never. But with the Los Angeles Lakers great calling it a career after the 2015-16 NBA season, the Black Mamba might be softening.

Kobe Bryant sat down with Robin Roberts of Good Morning America recently and reflected on his iconic basketball career, though, wasn’t ready to suggest he’s among the best who’ve ever graced the court.

In fact, Kobe Bryant said he’s not a top five NBA player of all-time.

Roberts asked Kobe if he’d crack the top 5 players in NBA history, to which Bryant responded he would ‘never’ put himself in that position – rather suggesting he would put the players he’s learned from as the greatest basketball players ever.

Said list includes Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Hakeem Olajuwon and Jerry West.

As for the age old debate in who would win in a one-on-one game between Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, the Black Mamba did admit that he thinks he could beat MJ….eventually.
