Seattle Mariners New Alternate Cream Jersey (Photo)

For weeks (more like months) there have been rumors suggesting the Seattle Mariners would be getting new uniforms. That proved to be true, though, it’s not a complete overhaul but rather a new addition.

Set to be worn on Sunday home games, the Seattle Mariners will wear a new cream colored alternate uniform which pays tribute to the franchise heritage. Even better? The new look comes with the iconic stirrups that so many baseball uniforms lack in the current age.

In addition to the new alternate Sunday jersey, the Mariners did make some minor changes to their every day uniform.

The lettering pattern on the Mariners’ home white jersey will be slightly different (along with the shade colors) while the jersey itself will be a softer, more dull white color. It might not be noticeable from far away though if you compare the two looks together it’s clear there is a vast difference between the two.

First, the new Sunday alternate jersey which Felix Hernandez, Robinson Cano and company will be wearing:

And second, the different between the old home white Mariners jersey.

Honestly, I think both look good. I’ve always personally been a big fan of the “cream” colored home jersey as opposed to the bright white. The changing to the lettering script also look very nice.
