Say what you will about Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers star will do anything to win. He may not always be the best teammate. He may not always be the nicest guy. He may push too hard at times, but he’ll do whatever he can to get himself on a basketball court.
That’s why the following video featuring Bryant learning of his torn rotator cuff is so heartbreaking to watch.
Filming for his upcoming documentary, Kobe Bryant went to see the Los Angeles Lakers team doctor who informed him of the shoulder injury, one that is all but assured to end his season prematurely.
Bryant appeared aware of such as he was speaking to doctors, leaving nothing but a shocked and stoned glare of frustration and disappointment on his face as he was informed of the news.

Obviously any time a player is informed of a serious injury, one that puts their season in jeopardy, they’ll be upset and frustrated. But given Kobe Bryant’s situation (fresh off a season ending injury last year) and his declining health/age, it appeared as if Bryant slowly became aware that Father Time remains undefeated and he finally encountered an opponent he can’t beat.
