There are a few curses in professional sports that you want no part of if you’re an active player. There’s the two most obvious – the Sports Illustrated cover and Madden, but what about the Kevin Durant curse?
You may recall rapper Lil B famously put a “curse” on Durant, suggesting the Oklahoma City Thunder star would never win a championship after the forward mocked B’s music on social media. Silly as it sounds, fellow NBA players like Ty Lawson have jokingly hinted they want nothing to do with Lil B after the “curse” and now the rapper says he plans to continue it by trolling Kevin Durant and the Thunder.
Assuming they are to make the playoffs, they stand a very good chance to play the NBA’s best team – the Golden State Warriors. If such is to happen, Lil B says he’ll be courtside, doing what he can to destroy Kevin Durant’s game.
“I’m there,” he said on the podcast. “I’m buying tickets. I’m there…I’m that kryptonite. The streets know.”
You heard it here, the streets know.
As for Kevin Durant, he’s shrugged off past comments from Lil B and will presumably do so again. But just for fun, it would be hilarious to see Lil B on the sidelines, especially since a ticket would likely cost his monthly income.
What’s he going to do if Kevin Durant signs with the Los Angeles Lakers though?!
