Tom Brady On Retirement: I’ve Got A Lot Of Football Left

Tom Brady

It’s routinely been said that if you’re going to go out, go out on top. For New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, there’s no better time than the present after winning his fourth Super Bowl ring on Sunday evening.

But the New England Patriots signal caller wants more and has no plans for retirement at this time.

“No. I’ve got a lot of football left,” Tom Brady said, per the team’s official website. “It’s hard to play this game and it take a big commitment, a lot of sacrifice. For all the players that have played in the past and I’ve looked up to and admired and a lot of the players now who I look up to and admire — it’s a big challenge and it’s incredible to experience this feeling once and I’ve been fortunate to play on four really great teams, so I’m really blessed.”

Brady’s skill set looks to be as polished as ever, so unless he simply couldn’t deal with the physical impact of the game at this stage of his career or wanted more time with his family, there isn’t a lot of reason to retire currently.

All that said, the quarterback doesn’t have a lot more time left but he seems ready to cherish the few remaining years he does have.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
