While rapper Shawty Lo was never atop the Billboard charts, the Atlanta-based MC was well respected in the music industry.
Lo wrote many songs for fellow artists and worked with big names like 50 Cent, Lil Kim and more.
Unfortunately, Shawty Lo died after being ejected from his vehicle in a single car crash late Tuesday night.
Per TMZ:
The 40-year-old was driving a 2016 Audi in Atlanta when the vehicle struck 2 trees. He was reportedly ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lo, who’s biggest hit was ‘Dey Know’, was also a member of the rap group D4L which released the single ‘Laffy Taffy’.
