Michael Crabtree Removes 49ers Info From Twitter Profile

Michael Crabtree

In what has become somewhat of a normal act recently, many professional athletes have decided to “break up” with their former team on social media. How so, you ask? Simple – remove anything and everything involved with the said organization.

Now it’s the turn of Michael Crabtree as the wide receiver removed all traces of the San Francisco 49ers from his Twitter profile, this according to CSN Bay Area (H/T Niners Nation):

The folks at Niners Nation recognized Crabtree recently deleted any mention of the 49ers from his Twitter profile. The self-described official page of NFL player Michael Crabtree, has removed the description Now a 49er!

It certainly isn’t the first time we’ve seen a player do such nor will it be the last, and frankly it’s actually kind of funny. But alas, in the truest sense of the definition, Michael Crabtree is technically a free agent and has no ties to the San Francisco 49ers currently, even if he was to re-sign with the team.

That however is unlikely as the oft-injured wide receiver believes he’s worthy of a hefty contract and it’s unlikely he’ll get such in the Bay Area.

Where he ends up is anybody’s guess, but it seems evident the former Texas Tech star knows his time with the 49ers looks over.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
