The Los Angeles Lakers are not only one of the proudest franchises in the NBA, they’re one of the most proud organizations in professional sports. Sure, they’re in the midst of yet another down season but for three decades they were the cream of the crop.
Given that, Lakers head coach Byron Scott was none too happy after the Orlando Magic decided to fire head coach Jacque Vaughn just a day before the two teams were to play. Why was Scott so unhappy? Well, the Lakers coach took it as an insult suggesting the Magic felt the Lakers would be an easy victory.

Perhaps he has a point, though, are you really going to call out another team simply because they fired their coach? It’s not far fetched to assume the Orlando Magic picked the game as a good time to make such a decision, but if Scott and the Lakers feel that way – beat them and move on.
