NFL Rumors: Miami Dolphins Interested In Greg Jennings

On Sunday afternoon it was reported Michael Crabtree turned down a $3 million dollar offer from the Miami Dolphins. In the hours that passed, rumors suggested the two sides didn’t talk money at all but according to the Miami Herald the two did exchange financial ideas.

Whatever the case, Crabtree is not a member of the Dolphins and is set to visit the Oakland Raiders.

That has forced the ‘Phins to look elsewhere which apparently includes Greg Jennings, this according to the Miami Herald.

The Dolphins typically discuss salary parameters with players they think highly enough to bring in for visits, and Crabtree was no exception.

The Dolphins have left the door open on Crabtree and might re-engage his agent in discussions in the coming weeks, potentially after the draft. They also haven’t ruled out Greg Jennings.

While Miami has a handful of talented, young wide receivers they want to understandably bring in a veteran or two to help with the transition. Would Greg Jennings be a solid add? That’s probably dependent on who you ask though he was decent for the Minnesota Vikings last season who weren’t exactly brimming with a solid quarterback situation.

It’s not ideal, but it could be far worse assuming they do come to terms.
