Report: Adrian Peterson’s Dream Is To Play For Dallas Cowboys

Adrian Peterson

If the Dallas Cowboys can somehow figure out how to get Adrian Peterson away from the Minnesota Vikings, they’ll be granting him his dream.

At least, that’s the word from Bleacher Reports’ Jason Cole who says Adrian Peterson’s dream scenario is to play for the Dallas Cowboys.

The feeling is probably mutual on the part of Jerry Jones and company as they’ve been long linked to the running back. However, he’s still under contract with the Vikings for another season. Add in that he’s set to make some major coin and the Cowboys have salary cap issues, it seems like a difficult fit.

Regardless, it sounds as if it’s a move that Adrian Peterson wants to happen.

The Dallas Cowboys aren’t going to be the only team to show interest in AP as the Arizona Cardinals are also going to be intrigued. The Indianapolis Colts were previously mentioned as a suitor though their addition of Frank Gore seems to move them out of contention.

An Adrian Peterson trade at his current salary seems hard to imagine while the Vikings are likely going to want to keep Adrian Peterson if he restructures his contract, not trade him.

Certainly sounds like we could be heading for a messy situation and possibly divorce.
