While seeing customized football helmets is nothing new, every so often a graphics artist with a special talent in Photoshop comes along and blows us all away.
We’ve seen some really nice concept NFL helmets and college football helmets in recent months, but they were alternative logos and color schemes. Today, courtesy of John Raya we have a collection of Star Wars inspired NFL helmets.
I’m going to assume you’ve at some point seen Star Wars (at least one of them) but even if you’re not a fan of the film franchise, you can still appreciate the wonderful detail put into the Star Wars helmets by John Raya.
Here are a few of my personal favorites which include the New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts and more.
Obviously some of the most popular lids are going to be those where popular characters like Darth Vader and Yoda are used, but overall the collection is solid all around.
Oddly enough, I didn’t see any of the football helmets using the iconic Princess Leia hair as the logo, which would have been really odd but mildly awesome at the same time.
Tell me you wouldn’t like to see Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks wearing some Princess Leia hair helmets….
