Outside of some verbal outbursts on the football field, Tom Brady is a pretty nice guy. So you’d assume that when another NFL player asked him for advice, he’d be more than willing to provide such, right? Especially if the counterpart was an opposing quarterback.
But the competitive New England Patriots quarterback wasn’t about to give any of his trade secrets away, not even to Robert Griffin III of the Washington Redskins.
According to Jeff Darlington, RGIII asked Brady for some help but the Patriots signal caller refused, suggesting he’d only be willing to do so once he retired.
Pretty funny. Griffin told me Brady politely refused to give him advice during joint practices. “Not until my career is done, Rob,” he said.

Normally this probably wouldn’t be that big of a deal because it’s an understandable stance coming from Tom Brady, though the fact it happened to RGIII makes it more news worthy because it comes off as nobody liking Robert Griffin III – not even the NFL golden boy.
That’s not what it means, of course, though Tom Brady probably didn’t have much to worry about in regards to RGIII and the Washington Redskins so he probably should have just helped him out a little.
