Well, it appears as if Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and rest of the Oklahoma City Thunder will have a new head coach next season as OKC has fired Scott Brooks, just days after the regular season came to an end.
That’s the word from Yahoo Sports who reports Sam Presti and the Thunder opted to relieve Brooks of his duties.
As of right now it’s not known as to why the decision was made (or perhaps if it was a mutual choice), but whatever the case the Thunder will have somebody else on the sidelines next season.

While the move might come as shocking, Brooks, despite his NBA Coach of the Year award, hasn’t exactly been inspiring with his talents. Before joining the Oklahoma City Thunder, Brooks was thought to be somewhat of a disappointment and the fact he had been unable to take a team with both Durant and Westbrook (when healthy) to the NBA Finals, let alone win them, was likely the nail in his coffin.
I’m not sure he deserved to be fired, but, it’s hard to imagine that this is a step back for the Thunder who will bring in somebody equally as talented, if not more.
