Take a look back at the NBA standings from last season and where would you find the New York Knicks?
At the bottom of the Atlantic Division with a nauseating 17-65 record. Needless to say, it was a bad year of basketball in the Big Apple, but Knicks president Phil Jackson thinks otherwise.
That’s because the basketball legend was asked about his performance this past season in which he suggested that he ‘did a great job’.
#Knicks Phil Jackson: “I did a great job last year.”

Clearly, the on-court basketball proudct wasn’t acceptable and as much as I’d like to believe that Phil Jackson really was that into himself, I don’t think that’s what he was talking about. Instead, Phil Jackson was patting himself on the back for being able to clear a ton of salary, allowing him to build around Carmelo Anthony this offseason.
Of course, clearing the salary cap is only one step in the process of building a good basketball team and if Jackson doesn’t bring in the right talent (say like a Greg Monroe), then he’ll have failed. But as of now, Jackson seems to think he’s done a mighty fine job.
Questionable, at best.
