It’s no secret that Carmelo Anthony re-signed with the New York Knicks because of money. That’s not to say there isn’t love there between the NBA All-Star and the Big Apple, but Melo more or less admitted such.
We can’t hate on him for that, though, you have to wonder where his heart lies. And perhaps the New York Knicks are doing just that, because there are rumors suggesting the Knicks could be thinking about a possible Carmelo Anthony trade.
It should be noted, no deal is close and the Knicks have yet to officially explore any deals, but Phil Jackson‘s front office is reportedly getting closer to putting him on the block which has Carmelo Anthony trade rumors swirling.
The Kings and Knicks should take a look, even though neither has movable assets that would interest Phoenix — unless the Knicks are ready to engage in Carmelo Anthony trade talks. (They’re not there, yet. But they’re getting closer.)
Of course, trading Carmelo Anthony will be a tough task given his salary. That said, it might not be the worst thing for the Knicks, though it seems rather unlikely to happen – at least currently.
