Might the Washington Wizards be playing in new uniforms designed by Kanye West? While that sounds a bit over the top, it appears to be the case as rapper Wale told ESPN Magazine that he and Kanye could be the masterminds behind their potential new look.
“I want to be a shot in the arm to DC basketball. My job is to provide a spark, at all costs. I’m not going to do anything corny, but I’m talking to Kanye about designing new uniforms. I want to see the phone booth rocking every time I come here.”
A musician designing an NBA jersey isn’t completely out of the norm as Diddy had a hand in helping the Dallas Mavericks craft one of their former jerseys. Of course, he owned Sean Jean and designed modern clothes as opposed to Kanye West who seemingly attempts to dress over the top at every possible opportunity.
It should be interseting to see what Kanye West comes up with if he does indeed get the green light to revamp the Washington Wizards look. I’m just waiting for John Wall and Bradley Beal to play in some leather skirts or maybe some Irish inspired kilts, because, well, Kanye.
