Considering I’d pretty much run into traffic for one night with Margot Robbie, I have to admit I’m pretty jealous of her Tarzan co-star Alex Skarsgård. Though, maybe I’m a little less jealous than I would be normally considering Margot Robbie injured her Tarzan co-star while getting down and dirty.
Though, no worries, Alex didn’t suffer an injury to Tarzan’s ‘rope’ but instead just a chest wound.
That’s because Robbie, who was instructed by the director to ‘slap’ Skarsgard during the scene, apparently didn’t understand how much she was packing and left him with a pretty gnarly bruise after she opted to punch him instead.
The Aussie star takes on the role of Jane in the early 20th century tale of a man raised by apes in the African jungle. She was the perfect fit for the role, according to director David Yates.
“If you enter the jungle with anybody, you want to go with Margot Robbie,” Yates told Entertainment Weekly.
“She’s practical, she’s smart and she’s resourceful.
“She can take care of herself.”
Despite the hard punch, filming was able to continue and the two actors had a good laugh over the injury.
So if you like your women blonde, attractive and possessing the jab of Mike Tyson, Margot Robbie is the lady for you.
